Irish Customs Agents specialises in customs clearance services on behalf of companies and clients that import and export goods to and from Ireland. Customs clearance is the necessary procedure that happens before goods can be imported or exported internationally.

Import Clearance

When importing goods into Ireland from outside the EU, customs declarations must be made. However, there are many regulations that must be followed. As well, some goods are subject to restrictions, some being prohibited entirely from entering the country. Along with this, most goods will require payment of duty or VAT in order for them to be released into circulation in Ireland.

At Irish Customs Agents, we have the experience needed in completing import clearances for clients ranging from standard entries to more complex and detailed entries.

Export Declarations

Irish Customs Agents uses AEP, which stands for Automated Entry Processing System, to complete export declarations electronically. As is the case with import clearance, there are defined regulations which must be followed when exporting goods from Ireland.

We have the experience to know which goods are completely prohibited from being exported, as well as which goods are subject to higher restrictions or require a licence.
